Dehulling

This process consists of removing the outer shell or hull of the hemp seeds. The dehulled seed are called hemp hearts. This process can be done through a mechanical process that separates the hull from the heart. The hulls are a byproduct of this process and can be used for animal feed, fibre extraction or biomass for energy.
