The B Corp model is a global standard-setting system created by an international network of B Lab organisations to help transform the global economy into a more inclusive, equitable and regenerative one. It seeks to achieve this vision by collaborating with other movements, coalitions, policy makers, activists and organisations and by supporting stakeholders, companies and businesses to adopt B Lab standards. Currently, there are over 4,000 companies from 150 different industries in 77 countries participating in the B Corp system, representing nearly 300,000 affected employees. In addition to the certification scheme and standards, the platform provides other assessment tools and support programmes that enable companies to become a 'force for good'.
An example of a B Corp certified company in the hemp sector is Nepal's Shah Hemp Innoventures (SHIV).
