Hemp seeds are soaked in water, ground up, and optionally flavoured to produce hemp milk. This makes an excellent alternative to dairy milk and is less allergenic compared to soy or gluten-containing alternatives. Its creamy characteristics make it particularly appealing for use in coffee drinks.
Lower quality fractions of hemp seeds can be marketed as fish bait or feed for aquaria and birds.
